I was intending to commentate on this, but unfortunately laziness isn't the only reason I don't commentate; for some reason I always get really nervous just thinking about doing it e_e. Guess I'm just not used to it :/ Mainly the reason Stadium's been delayed too. That aside, Cerulean Cave has three things to be annoying. The first are the Wild Pokémon; they are composed of all of RBY's top threats at Level 100, which means you are forced to at the very least encounter them. Repels only work if the wild Pokémon are BELOW the lead Pokémon's level, and since yours is 100 at the max (unless you bring something from the Cinnabar coast along) it's impossible to avoid them. For the record, the encounter rate you see here isn't special to Cerulean Cave; it's in every area in the game. The second are the ladders on the second floor. Some of them are now fake, which means you can just pass over them like any normal tile, all for the express purpose of tricking you. There are also false ladders; you do go down a floor when you step on them, but there's no ladder back up afterwards, so you'd have to go all the way back around again.
